Donate old eye glasses to the local Lions Club, Lions Recycle for Sight Program. The eyeglasses are cleaned, prescriptions are read and they are packed. Lions travel to Central America and set up to examine and prescribe glasses for the disadvantaged in various countries. Each year, 3,000 to 4,000 pairs of glasses are distributed to restore good sight to many in need. Glasses may be dropped off at many locations in Oneida and Herkimer Counties, including many optical centers. Check with your eye doctor to see if they host a collection location.
