String Lights cannot be placed in your curbside recycling container. String lights can be delivered to the Authorities Utica or Rome EcoDrops for proper recycling. If lights are still working, please consider donation. 

Live Christmas Trees cannot be placed in your curbside recycling container. The Authority accepts Christmas trees generated during the holiday season at the Compost Site on Leland Avenue in Utica from January 3^rd to January 31^st. The Christmas trees are chipped and composted by the Authority for use by area gardeners in the Spring. Click this link for more information on both live & artificial Christmas tree disposal.

Holiday Wreaths cannot be placed in your curbside recycling container. If not reusable, these items should be placed in your garbage.
