This year, the Authority is honoring MetLife which continues to be an advocate for the environment through their solid waste reduction, recycling and energy conservation program,” said Emily Albright, Authority Director of Recycling.

The Authority is pleased to announce that MetLife is the recipient of the 2017 Recycling Champion Award.

MetLife has long focused on reducing the company’s environmental footprint and ensuring a healthy planet for generations to come. They continuously strive to divert waste from landfills through a combination of waste reduction, recycling and reuse initiatives.

“I was truly impressed with MetLife’s facility. Here in Oriskany, they do an excellent job to ensure that all staff are aware of and familiar with all company waste reduction programs, policies, and objectives. The staff at MetLife have done an outstanding job and are very deserving of this award,” concluded Emily Albright, Authority Director of Recycling.
